Midtown Public House
Midtown Public House opened in February 2017. It replaced the China First restaurant, a staple landmark for many locals. Still owned by the same family, Midtown Pub is now run by the next generation and has been revamped into a family style pub offering Asian fusion pub foods and a rotating selection of local draft beers, ciders and wine as well as a full service cocktail lounge.
The décor is modern and industrial, featuring the original brick floor tiling, reclaimed wood paneling, metal siding and other accents, as well as a full length bar counter which was hand crafted from reclaimed bowling alley flooring by the owner himself. Midtown also boasts an open floor plan that makes use of the natural lighting and offers a unique dining experience. An homage to the former venue, the attached cocktail lounge is known simply as 'China.'
The menu includes many American classics, but also offers versions of those dishes with an Asian spin. We offer several rice and noodle bowls, each with a unique blend of in-house pickled veggies and hand prepared chicken, beef, pork and tofu options. Midtown also offers gluten free and vegetarian or vegan options for most dishes as well.
